Neighbors Helping Neighbors of Amherst County was established to combat food insecurity by providing nutritious meals through food kitchens and a selective shopping Food Warehouse. This organization connects individuals in need with local resources, fostering self-sufficiency and enhancing the quality of life in a community where many face poverty, especially children.

Impact

In Amherst County, 15% of the population lives below the national poverty line, with 20% of those being children. NHN serves as a vital resource hub, improving the quality of life for these individuals.
