Our Story

Founded in 1988 with a grant from The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Neighborhood Properties, Inc. (NPI) has dedicated itself to providing permanent supportive housing for individuals living with mental illness and addiction disorders. Over the years, NPI has expanded to own 540 apartments across 60 locations in Greater Toledo, establishing itself as a leader in supportive housing development both regionally and nationally.

Impact

NPI has been recognized as a pioneer in supportive housing, effectively reducing chronic homelessness and improving the health and well-being of its residents. Through a combination of housing subsidies and supportive services, NPI has achieved long-term housing stability and reduced recidivism rates in the justice system.
