Our Story
The Neighborhood Leadership Institute was founded in 2001 by passionate graduates of the Neighborhood Leadership Cleveland program. This initiative was born from a desire to foster grassroots leadership and community engagement in Greater Cleveland. Since its inception, the Institute has been a catalyst for change, providing essential training and support to local leaders.
Our Impact
With over 1,200 resident leaders trained, the Institute has significantly improved community health outcomes and engaged youth through various programs. The organization has also successfully mentored 2,500 CMSD 8th graders, creating a lasting impact on the lives of Cleveland’s youth.
