In 1979, four area churches recognized the need for a unique, non-denominational retirement community. This vision led to the establishment of La Vida Llena, which opened its doors in 1983. The Neighborhood in Rio Rancho, a Life Plan Community, was founded in 2016 to further this mission, offering quality housing and services to seniors.
Since its opening in April 2016, The Neighborhood has received two prestigious awards, including the NAIOP New Mexico Awards of Excellence, highlighting its exceptional design and significant contributions to the community.
