About Neema House

Neema House is an interim care home located in Geita Town, Tanzania, dedicated to serving orphaned, abandoned, and at-risk children aged 0-5. Established in June 2013, this vital organization has expanded its facilities to include separate homes for babies and toddlers, a classroom for education, and an outdoor space for community outreach. As the only home in the Geita Region for children under five, Neema House collaborates with local hospitals, clinics, and social welfare offices to identify and care for vulnerable children.

Impact on the Community

Neema House has made a significant impact in the Geita Region by providing essential care and support to children in need. The Maisha Matters program has assisted over 1,300 children suffering from malnutrition since 2016, offering life-saving milk formula and health education while keeping families together. Additionally, 41 children have found loving homes through adoption, and 110 children have been successfully reunited with their families.
