Nederland Food Pantry

Our Story

The Nederland Food Pantry was established in 1986 by a group of compassionate local women who recognized the alarming levels of hunger in their community. Initially operating from church closets, the pantry has grown significantly over the years. In 2015, it became an independent 501(c)(3) organization, allowing for greater outreach and support. With a permanent location donated by the Town of Nederland in 2013, the pantry has expanded its services to include community gardens, providing fresh produce to those in need.
