Our Story
Nativity Preparatory Academy opened its doors in September 2009, founded by the McQuaid Jesuit High School Board of Directors and the Sisters of St. Joseph. Recognizing the urgent need for quality education tailored for inner-city students in Rochester, the school adopted the successful Nativity middle school model, which has been transforming lives since 1971. With 49 schools across the nation and over 7,231 graduates, Nativity schools are dedicated to fostering academic excellence.
Impact
More than 90% of Nativity students graduate from high school, with over 80% continuing to two- or four-year colleges. The average daily attendance is an impressive 95%, significantly higher than the city average.
