Our Story

Co-founded by tennis legend Arthur Ashe in 1969, the National Junior Tennis League (NJTL) of Indianapolis uses tennis as a vehicle to engage youth in meaningful life lessons. Starting with an inner-city program at Riverside Park, NJTL has evolved to serve thousands of children, promoting education, character, and healthy lifestyles through the sport.

Impact

Every year, NJTL of Indianapolis impacts over 1,000 children in Marion County and surrounding areas, providing low-cost tennis lessons at more than 20 locations. With over 50,000 children served since inception, the organization fosters youth engagement and healthy living.
