Our Story

The National Indian Child Care Association (NICCA) was founded in 1993 as a grassroots alliance dedicated to supporting Tribally-governed child care and early learning programs. With a focus on serving over 300,000 American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian children from more than 500 Federally recognized Tribes, NICCA empowers Tribal governments to create programs that cater to the unique needs of their communities.

Impact

NICCA has successfully trained over 2300 early education professionals, significantly enhancing the quality of life for Native children through education and advocacy.
