Our Story

The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) was founded in 1893 by Hannah G. Solomon, who mobilized American Jewish women at the Chicago World’s Fair. Established in Nashville in 1901, NCJW focuses on philanthropy and the study of Jewish religion and history, addressing social injustices and enhancing the quality of life for women, children, and families.
