Our Story

The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is a grassroots organization founded in 1893, dedicated to improving the quality of life for women, children, and families. Established in Atlanta in 1895, NCJW Atlanta has a rich history of advocacy and community service, including early efforts to assist immigrants and children.

Impact

Since its inception, NCJW Atlanta has focused on education, reproductive rights, voting rights, and community service. The organization has trained reading tutors for Title I schools, provided essential school supplies, and supported mothers and infants in need.
