Our Story
Founded in 1968, the National Community Development Association (NCDA) emerged from the Model Cities Program, aimed at improving urban centers across the United States. Over the years, NCDA has evolved, representing over 500 cities and counties that administer vital HUD funding, including Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and HOME programs. The mission remains clear: to enhance the quality of life for low- and moderate-income individuals through effective community development initiatives.
