Founded in 1962 by community leaders in Arlington, National Capital Treatment and Recovery began as Alcohol Rehabilitation Incorporated, focusing on alcoholism. Over the decades, the organization expanded its mission to address drug addiction, adapting to the evolving needs of the community. In 2010, it partnered with Phoenix House Foundation to enhance its services but regained independence in 2018, rebranding to its current name. With a legacy of serving over 60,000 patients, it stands as a leader in addiction treatment.

Impact

In 2023, National Capital Treatment and Recovery received 19,220 calls for help, achieving a program completion rate of 15.8% above the national average, and served 2,063 patients through residential and outpatient programs.
