Our Story

Established in 2004, the National Cambodian Heritage Museum & Killing Fields Memorial is the only museum in the United States dedicated to raising awareness about the Cambodian genocide and advocating for social justice. Founded by a group of Cambodians in response to the needs of newly arrived refugees, the museum plays a crucial role in preserving the history and culture of the Cambodian community in Illinois and beyond.
