Our Story
The National Birth Coalition is a community-based Doula organization dedicated to addressing birth disparity gaps in North Carolina's maternity care system. Comprised of certified doulas, medical professionals, and advocates, the coalition focuses on supporting BIPOC communities to eliminate health disparities.
Our Impact
With the highest infant and maternal mortality rates in the country, North Carolina faces a crisis, particularly among African American and Indigenous families. The National Birth Coalition strives to increase access to culturally competent healthcare and improve educational opportunities for rural and disadvantaged urban populations.
