The National Association for Down Syndrome (NADS) is the oldest organization in the United States dedicated to serving individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Founded in Chicago in 1961 by courageous parents who defied medical advice, NADS has paved the way for acceptance and support for individuals with Down syndrome, fostering their growth and independence.
