Safe Haven Family Shelter

Our Story

For over 36 years, Nashville has been home to dedicated efforts aimed at supporting homeless families. Initially, two separate shelters, Safe Haven Shelter and Nashville Family Shelter, operated with a shared vision: to keep families together during their most challenging times. In 2003, these two organizations united to form Safe Haven Family Shelter, enhancing their ability to provide comprehensive support. Since then, the organization has expanded its services significantly, including a major expansion in 2013, to better serve families in need.

Impact

Safe Haven Family Shelter is the leading shelter-to-housing program in Middle Tennessee, currently accommodating 30-35 families at any given time and assisting between 75 and 100 families each year.
