Our Story

The Nashua Soup Kitchen was founded in 1981 by a dedicated group of individuals who recognized the growing hunger crisis in Nashua. Initially serving soup and sandwiches three days a week, the organization has evolved significantly over the years. In 1984, the Nashua Area Shelter for the Homeless was established, and in 1989, both organizations merged to form the Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter (NSKS). Today, NSKS is a beacon of hope, providing essential services to those in need.

Impact

NSKS serves the Greater Nashua area, addressing food insecurity and homelessness. The organization has made remarkable strides, serving thousands of meals and distributing over 2,300 backpacks filled with school supplies to children in need. With expanded facilities and services, including a new emergency shelter, NSKS is committed to meeting the community's evolving needs.
