Our Story

In 2004, a coalition of senior fire professionals and community leaders established Napa Firewise to combat the escalating wildfire risks in Napa County. Incorporated in 2007 as the Napa Communities Firewise Foundation, this organization has focused on educating the public and empowering residents to prepare their properties for fire safety. Following the devastating 2020 Glass Fire, NCFF spearheaded the creation of the Countywide Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP), a comprehensive strategy to enhance community resilience.

Impact

NCFF has played a pivotal role in reducing wildfire risks through community education and strategic fuel reduction projects, significantly improving the safety of Napa County residents.
