Our Story
Nampa Christian Housing, Inc. was established in the late 1960s by dedicated members of the Nampa First Christian Church. Their vision was to create a unique apartment complex that would offer affordable housing for low-income seniors in the Nampa area. Utilizing the HUD 202 program, they successfully designed and constructed the Golden Glow Tower, which opened its doors in 1969. This remarkable eight-story building, featuring 64 rooms, a live-in manager unit, a common area, and laundry facilities, became the first high-rise in Nampa.
For over 50 years, Nampa Christian Housing has operated this building, ensuring that rent remains affordable and that the elderly population is sheltered from homelessness. In October 2023, the original building was sold to LEAP Housing, paving the way for NCH to focus on developing additional low-income housing for seniors in the Treasure Valley.
