Our Story

NAMI Northside Atlanta began in 1985 when a small group of families, united by the challenges of mental illness, came together to share their experiences and find solace in one another. Recognizing the need for a dedicated support system, they established a NAMI affiliate in Fulton County. Today, this grassroots organization thrives on the dedication of volunteers who understand the struggles families face in navigating healthcare, housing, and employment for their loved ones.
