Our Story
In October 1995, a dedicated group of individuals in Billings, Montana, came together to address the pressing mental health issues faced by their community. This grassroots effort led to the establishment of the Yellowstone Alliance for the Mentally Ill, which evolved into NAMI-Billings. Today, NAMI-Billings stands as the only affiliate in Montana with a permanent office and staff, committed to providing essential support, education, and advocacy for individuals affected by mental illness.
