Founded in 1971, myHealth for Teens and Young Adults began as a community response to rising unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections among youth in the Excelsior area. With the opening of the West Suburban Teen Clinic in 1972, a dedicated team of healthcare professionals and volunteers came together to provide essential health services. Over the years, myHealth has expanded its offerings to include mental health services and the Becoming Program, which supports teen mothers through home visits promoting healthy birth outcomes.

Today, myHealth partners with local school districts and community organizations to address the evolving needs of young people and their families. As a designated ‘Essential Community Provider’ by the state of Minnesota, myHealth is committed to ensuring that all youth have access to quality healthcare.

Making a Difference in the Community

In 2023, myHealth served over 1,000 clients through nearly 4,500 visits, providing vital services such as reproductive health care, general medical care, and vaccinations. The impact of these services is profound, helping to foster healthier futures for young individuals.
