Our Story

Founded in 1982, My Sisters’ Place began as a shelter for single women and women with children in Hartford, providing a safe haven for those in need. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services to include transitional and supportive housing, housing coordination, and rapid re-housing services for individuals and families throughout the Greater Hartford community. Annually, My Sisters’ Place serves over 6,000 individuals and families, helping them regain stability and independence.
