Our Story
My Learning Studio Outreach (MLSO) was founded by Lorna Jenkins in response to the 2008 recession, which left many families in Riverside and surrounding areas struggling. With a commitment to education, Lorna transformed her for-profit learning center into a nonprofit to provide discounted tutoring for those in need. Today, MLSO offers personalized tutoring in mathematics, sciences, reading comprehension, and writing to under-resourced students.
Impact
Since the pandemic began, MLSO has provided over 7,000 hours of free and fee-reduced tutoring, making a significant difference in the lives of many students.
