After extensive research, the organization opened its first refuge in 2014, focusing on orphaned children and vulnerable women while employing local staff to combat child trafficking and exploitation.

Impact

Since its inception, Mwana Villages has welcomed over 152 children into its care, achieving a remarkable 65% success rate in family preservation and reunification. Additionally, 20% of children have found loving homes through adoption in various countries.
