Founded in 2008 by Brooke Corson, Mutts With A Mission began with a simple yet profound inspiration: the bond between a woman and her dog. Witnessing the positive impact her dog Angus had on soldiers at Fort Benning, Brooke, along with her brother Keller Elliott and husband Joe, established this nonprofit to train world-class Service Dogs for disabled Veterans, First Responders, and Law Enforcement. Since placing its first Service Dog in late 2009, the organization has grown significantly, achieving full accreditation from Assistance Dogs International in 2019 and re-accreditation in 2024.

By providing specially trained Service Dogs at no cost to recipients, the organization ensures that Veterans, Wounded Warriors, Law Enforcement Officers, Federal Workers, and First Responders receive the support they need to enhance their quality of life.
