Our Story

Founded in 1994 by Tim and Denise Duffy, Music Maker Relief Foundation is dedicated to preserving and supporting traditional American music. The organization focuses on the essential musical traditions of the South, including blues, gospel, and folk, prioritizing the needs of vulnerable artists, particularly those over 55 years old living on less than $25,000 a year.

Since its inception, Music Maker has served over 500 musicians, sustaining their health and creativity while educating the public about the richness of American culture.
