Transforming Lives Through Music Education

Founded in 1929 amidst the challenges of The Great Depression, the Music Conservatory of Westchester (MCW) was established by visionary community leaders, including renowned cellist Pablo Casals. With a commitment to excellence in music education, MCW has served over 3,000 students annually, from pre-kindergarten to retirees, ensuring that music education is accessible to all. Scholarships are provided to those in need, allowing anyone with a passion for music to participate.

Impacting the Community

The Conservatory’s Music Therapy Institute (MTI) is the largest provider of music therapy in greater Westchester, reaching over 2,000 students with disabilities each year. Through partnerships with public schools, medical facilities, and social service agencies, MTI offers transformative music therapy services that enhance emotional and physical well-being.
