About Music Carolina

Founded in 1992 by conductor Robert Franz and talented musicians from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Music Carolina, formerly known as the Carolina Chamber Symphony Players, has evolved into a vibrant chamber music organization. With a focus on small ensemble performances since 2006, Music Carolina has become a cornerstone of the Winston-Salem cultural scene, premiering the annual Music Carolina SummerFest in 2008 and adding WinterFest in 2012. These festivals showcase collaborations with local music organizations, enriching the community's artistic landscape.
