Our Story

Trish Phillips became a Living Kidney Donor after witnessing her best friend’s two-year battle with kidney disease and dependency on dialysis treatment. On December 15, 2016, she made a life-saving decision at Tampa General Hospital, inspiring her to educate others about living a healthy lifestyle with just one kidney. This passion led to the creation of the Multicultural Miracle Donor Foundation (MMDF) on December 15, 2021, five years after her donation. MMDF is dedicated to educating, informing, assisting, and empowering support for multicultural living donors and the families of deceased organ donors.
