Since 1991, the Multicultural Institute has been dedicated to uplifting immigrant communities across Alameda, San Mateo, and Contra Costa counties. With a strong focus on Latino immigrants, particularly those from Mexico and Central America, MI serves day laborers, low-income immigrant adults, and youth. The organization envisions a community where immigrants are embraced and valued, regardless of their immigration status. Through strategic partnerships with civic, business, and community leaders, MI has successfully implemented numerous projects that foster community leadership and engagement.
