Our Story
Founded in 1946, Meeting Street is the nation's first school dedicated to providing comprehensive educational, therapeutic, and developmental services to children with disabilities and special needs. Established by Margaret “Poggy” Langdon and Dr. Eric Denhoff, the organization believes in the right of all children to receive high-quality education and support to reach their full potential. Over the years, Meeting Street has expanded its services and facilities, including a new campus in Providence in 2006 and a merger with The Schwartz Center for Children to enhance offerings in Massachusetts.
