The Minneapolis Lakers Youth Traveling Basketball Program was founded in 2012 to provide essential traveling basketball opportunities for boys and girls in grades 3 through 8. This program not only focuses on developing basketball skills but also promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and a strong sense of community among participants.
With a remarkable growth from three teams in its inaugural year to 24 teams in the 2023-2024 season, the program has positively impacted over 1,000 youth in Minneapolis. Each season, more than 250 kids try out for teams, showcasing the program's commitment to youth development.
