Our Story
Founded in 2005 by Deborah Meyer and Sally Gottesman, Moving Traditions engages Jewish teens by connecting their passions to enduring Jewish values. The organization focuses on gender and identity, empowering preteens and teens through programs that promote personal wellbeing, caring relationships, and social justice.
Impact
Since its inception, Moving Traditions has empowered over 35,000 teens, trained more than 2,650 Jewish educators and clergy, and partnered with over 560 Jewish institutions. Evaluation surveys indicate that 91% of teens report positive experiences with the programs, and 98% of Kol Koleinu fellows feel they have grown as feminists and activists.
