Our Story
Moveable Feast Lexington was founded in 1998 after the tragic death of Charles Williams, a destitute artist with AIDS. This heartbreaking event inspired community activists to take action, leading to the delivery of leftover food from local restaurants to those in need. Today, the organization has evolved to provide hot, nutritious meals to low-income individuals living with HIV/AIDS and those under hospice care in Lexington and Fayette County.

As of September 30, 2024, Moveable Feast Lexington has delivered an astounding 772,698 meals to 1,635 clients. With the help of 314 dedicated volunteers contributing 68,640 hours of service, the organization has made a significant impact on combating malnutrition among vulnerable populations.
