Our Story

Founded in 1984 by visionaries Jim Hooyenga and Don Nydam, Mountain Shadows Support Group began as a humble chicken ranch in Escondido, California. Today, it has transformed into a thriving community, providing essential services to individuals with intellectual disabilities across 27 homes.
