Founded in 1984 by Reverend Everett C. Mills, Mountain Mentors is a dedicated non-profit organization in Toledo, Ohio, focused on transforming the lives of youth through one-on-one mentoring. Originally affiliated with the United Methodist Church, the program has expanded to include outdoor camps and educational sessions that promote skill-building and healthy adolescent development.
Recognized as one of the most innovative alternative-to-incarceration programs in the nation, Mountain Mentors has positively impacted the lives of numerous youth from diverse backgrounds, serving approximately 125 students in its first decade alone.
