Our Story

In November 1964, residents of the Mountain Home – Grimesdale area recognized the urgent need for fire protection. This led to the establishment of the Mountain Home Volunteer Fire Department in January 1965, with an overwhelming 99.2% of registered voters in favor. Over the years, the department has evolved into a combination volunteer-paid fire department, operating from three stations and ensuring 24-hour coverage for the community.
