Our Story
Founded in 1989 as the WNC Regional Child Abuse Center, Mountain Child Advocacy Center has evolved to become a vital resource for children and families affected by neglect and abuse in Buncombe County. This multi-agency initiative aims to create a safe, nurturing environment for healing and support.
Impact
Setting the standard for child abuse prevention and treatment, Mountain CAC educates over 9,000 children annually through interactive, research-based programs. When abuse occurs, immediate access to free, evidence-based therapies is provided to help children heal.
