Our Story
Mostly Music began in the late 1970s with informal chamber music performances in the homes of Westfield residents. The series, named 'Mostly Music', was founded by Claire Angel, a Juilliard-trained pianist, who aimed to create a space for both music and conversation. As the audience grew, the performances transitioned to public venues, starting with Union County College in 1983 and later moving to Temple Emanu-El, a fully accessible venue that seats up to 500. This evolution reflects the community's passion for music and the arts.
