Our Story

Morrison Child and Family Services was founded in 1947 by a dedicated group of citizens and physicians, led by Dr. Carl Morrison, one of Oregon’s pioneering child psychiatrists. Over the decades, the organization has evolved, expanding its services to meet the diverse needs of children, youth, and families affected by systemic racism and trauma. Today, Morrison is committed to delivering culturally responsive and anti-oppressive mental health and substance use disorder treatment.
