Morningside Ministries

Our Story

For over 60 years, Morningside Ministries has been dedicated to providing mission-driven housing and services to older adults. Founded by the Southwest Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio, and the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, Morningside opened its doors as Morningside Manor in 1961. This was San Antonio’s first private, faith-based residence for older adults, and since then, it has expanded to include multiple campuses, including Morningside at The Meadows and Morningside at Menger Springs.

Morningside Ministries prioritizes mission-driven service over profit, ensuring that residents live life to the fullest with access to exceptional care. Revenue generated is reinvested into enhancing the quality of life for residents, not distributed to shareholders. Through generous donations, the Covenant Fund has been established to provide financial assistance to eligible residents in need.
