Our Story
In the early 1960s, a dedicated group of individuals from the Flint area recognized the urgent need for an organized emergency response team. This vision led to the establishment of the Flint Rescue Squad in 1964, which operated under that name for 25 years. Initially, the Squad faced significant challenges, including a lack of funding and equipment, relying on borrowed resources to conduct their first operations. In 1987, the name was changed to Morgan County Rescue Squad, Inc. to reflect the expanded service area across Morgan County. Today, the Squad is composed of trained professionals who volunteer their time and skills, providing critical services 24/7, 365 days a year.
