Founded in 1873, the Moravia Volunteer Fire Company has a rich history of serving the community. This 100% volunteer organization provides essential fire protection to approximately 4,000 residents in the Village and Town of Moravia. Covering a first due response area of 30 square miles, the MVFC protects a diverse range of structures, including schools, businesses, and senior housing.
The MVFC specializes in technical rescue operations, including rope, ice, auto extrication, and trench rescues. With trained members in hazardous materials and decontamination, the fire company ensures the safety of Southern Cayuga County.
