Our Story

The Moore County Senior Center was established in 1977 by local citizens to address the needs of elderly individuals in Dumas and surrounding areas. Initially meeting in the county courthouse, the center grew and moved to various locations before securing a dedicated building in 2001, funded through community efforts. Despite challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, the center adapted by providing home-delivered meals and drive-up services, reopening to the public in April 2021.

Impact

The Moore County Senior Center has provided essential services and support to seniors in the community, including nutritious meals, social activities, and educational programs, fostering a sense of community and well-being among its members.
