The Montgomery County Christmas Store was established in 1982 by a group of dedicated citizens who recognized the need for support among low-income families during the holiday season. Inspired by a similar initiative in Norman, Oklahoma, they united community members and local agencies to create a project that has since grown to serve over 1,300 families annually.
In 2018 alone, the Christmas Store provided assistance to over 1,300 low-income families, including more than 1,800 children and 900 seniors and disabled adults, raising over $277,600 from the community.
