The Monterey Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation was established in 1980 to support young sailors and youth-focused sailing programs on the Monterey Peninsula. This 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization provides financial assistance and in-kind support to young sailors and local organizations dedicated to teaching sailing. By introducing youth to sailing, the foundation fosters essential skills and instills valuable life lessons.
For over 40 years, MPYSF has empowered young sailors and supported sailing programs, including the purchase of six Optimist Dinghies for the Junior Sailing Program and hosting a US Sailing Level 1 instructor training course.
