About Monterey County Youth Museum

Since 1997, the Monterey County Youth Museum, affectionately known as MY Museum, has been a cornerstone of learning and creativity for children in Monterey County. Originally a Junior League project, MY Museum has transformed into a vibrant community-based nonprofit organization. In November 2008, the museum moved to a new, expansive facility in downtown Monterey, tripling its size and offering nine gallery areas filled with over 50 interactive exhibits that celebrate the unique industries of the region.
