The Monterey County Sheriffs Advisory Council has deep roots, originating over 25 years ago with community leaders dedicated to supporting the families of fallen officers. This initiative evolved into the MCSO Advisory Posse, which established the MCSO Memorial Fund to provide essential financial assistance to the families of fallen and injured law enforcement officers.
